Following a raft of redundancies at Ford plants in the state of Victoria, existing workers have complained that thousands more jobs could be at risk.
Hundreds of Ford workers at the Broadmeadows and Geelong plants still have jobs following a Ford announcement that redundancies would be sought.
Last week, 212 workers were made redundant on top of 118 voluntary redundancies.
On Friday other workers were asked to attend the plants to see if their names had been added to the redundancy list.
In January the Australian government gave Ford $34 million for the development of the next model Falcon.
At the time, Prime Minister Julia Gillard was promised the investment would create 300 jobs.
